Danish boat builder Rand Boats has launched a new electric runabout boat called the Spirit 25, also available in a gas-powered version as well. Now available to all global markets including the U.S., the 25-foot "lifestyle racer" is an open layout day cruiser that seats up to 9 passengers with a center three-seat sofa and a flip-over backrest that converts into a dining area for 6 people.

Designed with stability and comfort in mind, the Spirit 25 was developed with sustainable materials and hyper-efficient hull design using lightweight construction, helping her reach top speeds over 40 knots (with the max power package) and is rated for between 105 to 180 kW electric motors (or for up to 300 HP for the gas-powered models, available in both inboard or outboard). Both the electric and gas-powered options offer comparable performance numbers.

The sporty Spirit 25 steering console has taken inspiration from the automotive-industry and lends comparison to classic Italian sports cars, offering a feeling of the ultimate sophisticated performance day boat. Resembling a "stylish café sports boat" with modern features the new Spirit 25 is a testament to European style, Danish functionality and raw sport boat performance. She is a nimble, quick handling vessel with sleek aesthetics. The boat has a spacious triple-bed aft sun lounge with expandable backrest and with her unique functional layout the Spirit 25 offers a readily-adjustable seating area within a few moments to suit the needs of the day.

Danish boat builder Rand Boats was started in 2013 by Karl Rai Rand, who also co-founded GoBoat, an electric boat rental company.
